• How this horror is hidden and maintained.

Book Club: Waging Peace with David Hartsough: June 2 – June 23: World BEYOND War will be holding a weekly discussion each of four weeks of Waging Peace: Global Adventures of a Lifelong Activist with the author David Hartsough as part of a small group WBW book club limited to a group of 18 participants. The author, a co-founder of World BEYOND War, will send each participant a signed paperback copy of the book. World BEYOND War Spain is partnering with John Tilji Menjo, founder of the first nonprofit Peace School in Kenya (PSK). John’s after-school project brings children directly traumatized by man-made conflicts together for education, art, play and cultural activities and has already helped to decrease violence in the Kenya Rift Valley region. This partnership has facilitated the provision of school supplies, peace education materials, and a steady advance towards building a permanent institution for the purpose of educating the warring communities on nonviolence and other forms of peace making.

New Network Launched: Demilitarize US to Palestine: We’re excited to announce the launch of Demilitarize US to Palestine, a network of individuals and organizations that seeks to offer resources for and build strategy between abolitionist campaigns seeking to end state violence and police militarization in the U.S. and Palestine. Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day: The Irish Chapter of WBW invites you to a special webinar to mark the Armenian Genocide on April 28. The Irish government or the Houses of the Oireachtas has not yet recognised the genocide. Vicken Cheterian and Ohan Yergainharsian will talk about the 1915 genocide, and how it continues to influence regional and international relations. Register here.
