“The question is no longer between violence and non-violence, it is between non-violence and non-existence.” ~Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
There is another way, a better way, and a more effective way. The nonviolent way can achieve results, resolve conflicts, reach understanding, and help to heal. In this session, participants learn about the nonviolent alternative known as Unarmed Civilian Protection, a way to provide safety and security, and achieve peace. We are introduced to the techniques, success stories, and economies of Unarmed Civilian Protection– a practice which is transforming models of safety in U.S. communities and in conflicts around the world.
We were also able to participate in role-playing situations, and receive resources to learn more!
