Both anti-war and climate movements are fighting for justice and life for all people on a livable planet. It’s increasingly clear that we can’t have one without the other. No climate justice, no peace, no planet.
This April 29, 2021, webinar was cohosted with Science for Peace on the intersections between climate justice and anti-war movements. Featuring:
- Clayton Thomas-Müller — Member of the Mathias Colomb Cree Nation, senior campaign specialist with 350.org and a campaigner, film director, media producer, organizer, facilitator, public speaker and author.
- El Jones — Award-winning spoken word poet, educator, journalist, and a community activist living in African Nova Scotia. She was the fifth Poet Laureate of Halifax.
- Jaggi Singh — Independent journalist and community organizer, actively involved in anti-capitalist, anti-authoritarian, anti-colonial organizing and projects for two decades.
- Kasha Sequoia Slavner — Award-winning Gen-Z documentary filmmaker, currently shooting 1.5 Degrees of Peace, a documentary film to inspire a unified movement for peace and climate justice.
