To mark the first anniversary of the Montréal for a World BEYOND War chapter this autumn, we are celebrating with a bicycling fundraiser on October 15! Members and friends of the Montréal for a World BEYOND War chapter will be pedalling 22km to raise money for the global World BEYOND War movement, which supports activists like us all over the world as we organize, learn and take action together, for peace! If you read the news and wish you could do more, now is your chance. This movement is growing and permeating public consciousness. Please consider making a donation that will advance the cause of world peace!
Riders will be soliciting friends and family before the event, to raise a total of $1000, so the more people participating, the better our chances of reaching that goal. On October 15, we will meet at Vendome metro station at 11:00am and pedal to Pole des Rapides in LaSalle, where we will share a picnic lunch.
We are looking forward to another year of being a voice for peace locally, educating ourselves and others about the myths of war and exploring ways to bring about systemic change and a radical new culture of global peace. Join us on Saturday, October 15 for a few hours of biking, fresh autumn air, beautiful scenery, good friends and good food! This event is open to everyone who cares about peace, whether you choose to ride with us or to donate.
If you can’t join, but would like to support our work, you can make a donation to the fundraiser here.
