World peace is in peril with escalating wars, economic chaos and wealth inequality. The continuing war between Russia and Ukraine has put the world in the grip of terrifying nuclear warfare. According to SIPRI (Stockholm International Peace Research Institute) military spending has reached a new high of $2.1 trillion including India's military spending to over $76 billion. In this grave atmosphere how can we work in harmony to tackle the complex issues facing the world today and establish peace? One of the innovative way to do it is to create Ministries / Departments for Peace promoting dialogue, negotiations and diplomacy to resolve conflicts.
On 8 February 2023, GAMIP, Global Alliance for Ministries and Infrastructures for Peace, in alliance with Uniting for Peace is hosting an online conference on the re-launch of GAMIP Chapter India. In this conference distinguished speakers will explore how we can work towards building a more peaceful, harmonious and prosperous world.
This event is organized by GAMIP (Global Alliance of Ministries and infrastructures for peace) and Uniting for Peace.
