The location of the No to NATO — Yes to Peace Festival is St. Stephen’s Church at 1525 Newton St NW Washington, D.C. That’s on 16th Street NW, 2.5 miles north of the White House.

Parking & Transportation:
St. Stephen’s is located at the corner of 16th St. NW and Newton St. NW in the Columbia Heights neighborhood of northwest Washington, D.C.

By car: There is limited free 2-hour street parking available on certain parts of the street. Paid parking is available at the garage on 3100 14th St NW, which is a 10 minute walk from the church. The garage is open 5am-12am Monday-Friday. Rates are $1.50/1 hr, $4/2 hrs, $5/3 hrs, $12/4 hrs, $20 max per day. Overnight parking at the garage is available for $20. Payment by cash or card. Note that parking in the small lot between the church building and 16th St. is reserved for people with limited mobility, and a sticker, available from the church office, must be displayed in your car if you park there.

By public transportation: The closest Metrorail station is Columbia Heights on the Green Line, at 14th St. NW and Irving St. NW, just 3 blocks south and one block east of the church — an 8-minute walk. Numerous bus lines run near the church, especially north and south on 16th St. NW, a major thoroughfare in the city. The S2 and S4 Metro buses stop at St. Stephen’s

  1. I can offer housing (1 queen bed, 1 room, shared bath, 1 and 1/2 flight stairs involved) in Northern New Jersey/bus access to NYC

  2. I live near Toronto Ontario Canada and I can pay $50.00 a day for a accomadation. For the 3 & 4 of April DC event in Washington. I would also like to know about any contingent or group that are forming for the event. I would consider staying a week in Washington DC.   4. Sorry, I’m going to festival at St. Stephen’s on April 3rd. It starts at noon so I will need to leave by 8:30. I will stay overnight and participate in events on the 4th, returning
    on the evening of the 4th
