Doug Hostetter travelled to Afghanistan immediately after 9/11 taking with him thousands of pounds of food for Afghan families he knew would be caught in the center of a vicious war on civilians. His is a fascinating story of how one American responded to the war on Afghanistan. Doug Hostetter has worked to bring relief aid to every major war zone since Vietnam as a director or member of the U.N. teams of Pax Christi, Fellowship of Reconciliation, Mennonite Central Committee, and the United Methodist Office.

Hello, Doug, from Richard Jordan, Dean of UN NGOs for 46 years, have worked on peace & justice since I was 16, that’s 62 years. I signed onto Luke10 but I see that in 2 weeks my information is not on the list of signatories. Bishop Chane may be at the House of Bishops meeting, so I turn to you. Have you capped off at 125? I know Margaret Rose and of course many bishops in the Episcopal Church, although I recently converted to Greek Orthodox. Any idea how to add my name on the website? Happy Nowruz, I was once part of a very influential NGO that held a Nowruz feast with the Mission of Iran near the 43rd St. entrance to the UN. And how often did we celebrate the real Earth Day with Pete Seeger inside the UN near the Japanese Peace Bell. Any idea about adding me as CEO of the World Harmony Foundation in NYC? Best regards, Intl. Day of Happiness tomorrow, and the Eid. Much converging.
