At World BEYOND War we make use of all variety of media and communications production and engagement, creating video, audio, text, and graphic media, and interacting with media outlets large and small.

At World BEYOND War we make use of all variety of media and communications production and engagement, creating video, audio, text, and graphic media, and interacting with media outlets large and small.

World BEYOND War provides chapters and affiliates with resources, trainings, and organizing support to amplify both online and offline events and campaigns for peace and justice.

We educate both about and for the abolition of war. We engage in formal education as well as every variety of informal and participatory education interwoven in our activism and media work.
Participants on Zoom were polled at the beginning and end of the event on the question “Can war ever be justified?” At the beginning 36% said yes and 64% no. At the end, 29% said yes and 71% no.

On September 4th, 2022, activists from World BEYOND War, No New Fighter Jets Coalition, Independent Jewish Voices, Defund the Police Fund Our Communities, Canadian Defenders for Human Rights, and more gathered in downtown Toronto to protest the Toronto Airshow.

Statement of the Ukrainian Pacifist Movement, adopted at the meeting on International Day of Peace 21 September 2022.

In recognition of the International Day of Peace, we talked with World BEYOND War’s Co-Founder and Executive Director David Swanson and Development Director Alex McAdams about their plans to commemorate the day, their approach to the work of ending war, and how technology has helped them further that goal.
I understand that wars and militarism make us less safe rather than protect us, that they kill, injure and traumatize adults, children and infants, severely damage the natural environment, erode civil liberties, and drain our economies, siphoning resources from life-affirming activities. I commit to engage in and support nonviolent efforts to end all war and preparations for war and to create a sustainable and just peace.
