Una ofrenda para los firmantes del Acuerdo de Paz asesinados en Colombia

Todos los años el 1 y 2 de Noviembre en México, tiene lugar una especial celebración que es conocida como el día de muertos, durante estos días y de acuerdo a la tradición cultural indígena, se recuerda a quienes ya no se encuentran en este mundo y se les ofrenda alimentos, fotografía y flores para recordarlos.
Este año se ha realizado un evento organizado por la Embajada de México en Colombia, para conmemorar a los 406 firmantes del Acuerdo de Paz, que han sido asesinadas desde que se firmara este acuerdo entre el gobierno colombiano y la guerrilla de las FARC en el año 2016.
El acto de homenaje a los firmantes, inició con las palabras de la Embajadora de México en Colombia, Martha Patricia Ruiz, quien habló de la importancia que tiene la Paz, para poder lograr otros derechos fundamentales para toda sociedad, como el derecho a la vida, el derecho a la educación, a la salud, a un trabajo digno, por su parte reitero el compromiso del gobierno y el pueblo de México con los acuerdos de Paz en Colombia.
En el evento también participó el representante especial del Secretario General de la ONU en Colombia Carlos Ruiz, quien mencionó que el asesinato de una sola persona es fallarle a los acuerdos de paz y a la voluntad del pueblo colombiano en construir un mejor futuro a la vez que convocó a incrementar los esfuerzos para la protección de todos aquellos que firmaron este acuerdo.
También se hicieron presentes los representantes de los firmantes del Acuerdo de Paz, Rodrigo Londoño, Rodrigo Granda, Luz Giraldo que es representante de las viudas de los firmantes y varias personalidades comprometidas con la paz con justicia social en Colombia.
World BEYOND War, estuvo presente a través de su organizador para América Latina Gabriel Aguirre quien tuvo oportunidad de saludar a los presentes, y con ello reafirmar nuestro firme compromiso de abolir la guerra, la violencia y contribuir de manera decidida a la construcción de una cultura de Paz en Latinoamérica y el mundo.
