With the participation of various continental organizations, the planning meeting for the campaign entitled: Let’s reject imperialism, let’s make our Americas a Zone of Peace, began.
This event, which takes place in the city of Bogota, will meet on March 11 and 12, with the objective of articulating the different initiatives to promote this campaign throughout the continent.
The event began with a presentation by the organizers of the campaign, Black Alliance for Peace, on the main aspects of this regional effort, the objectives, and the work done so far, then the organizations took the floor to present their vision of the campaign, as well as to present proposals and ideas.
WBW, through its organizer for Latin America and the Caribbean, Gabriel Aguirre, presented his ideas on how to put an end to the war in the region by articulating actions for the closure of foreign military bases in Latin America, the denunciation of the presence of the Southern Command, militarism, NATO, and the elimination of all sanctions against the various countries in the continent.

Una Campaña de Paz para América Latina.
Con la participación de diversas organizaciones continentales, dió inicio la reunión de planificación de la campaña que lleva por nombre: Rechacemos el imperialismo, hagamos nuestras Américas una Zona de Paz.
Este evento que tiene lugar en la ciudad de Bogotá, se reunirá durante los días 11 y 12 de Marzo, con el objetivo de articular las diferentes iniciativas para promover esta campaña en todo el continente.
El evento inició con la presentación por parte de los organizadores de la campaña, Black Alliance for Peace, sobre los principales aspectos de este esfuerzo regional, los objetivos, y el trabajo realizado hasta el momento, seguidamente las organizaciones tomaron la palabra para presentar su visión sobre la campaña, así como presentar propuestas e ideas.
WBW a traves de su organizador para América Latina y el Caribe Gabriel Aguirre, presentó sus ideas sobre cómo poner fin a la guerra en la región mediante la articulación de acciones para el cierre de las bases militares extranjeras en América Latina, la denuncia de la presencia del Comando Sur, el militarismo, la OTAN, y la eliminación de todas las sanciones contra los diferentes países en el continente.
