Why the West is responsible for the Escalation in Ukraine – Professor John Mearsheimer (USA) in Berlin

From Co-Op News

John J. Mearsheimer is a professor of political science at the University of Chicago.
He is the author of several books and writes among other publications for the New York Times and Foreign Affairs, a journal of international relations and U.S. foreign policy. Published by the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR).

In September 2014 Mearsheimer wrote an article for Foreign Affairs that was highly critical of the US-policy towards Russia.

The Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) is a nonprofit, 4900 member think tank specializing in U.S. foreign policy and international affairs. Its membership has included senior politicians, more than a dozen Secretaries of State, CIA directors, bankers, lawyers, professors, and senior media figures. The CFR promotes globalization, free trade, reducing financial regulations on transnational corporations, and economic consolidation into regional blocs such as NAFTA or the European Union, and develops policy recommendations that reflect these goals

The CFR meetings convene government officials, global business leaders and prominent members of the intelligence/foreign-policy community to discuss international issues. CFR runs the think tank “David Rockefeller Studies Program”, which influences foreign policy by making recommendations to the presidential administration and diplomatic community, testifying before Congress, interacting with the media, and publishing on foreign policy issues.

Professor Mearsheimer has just been to Berlin, where he spoke at an event. He gave two important interviews.

  1. Just read your article WORLD BEYONE WAR, which brought me to this web site. Must confess, there were items within that publication that have validity, however the REAL causes of much of the conflict around the World today, were not dealt with at all, other then a tiny mention. That is pursuit of World Hedgemony by the U.S.
Further to this, eventually I came to this site and this article by the Professor, trying to maintain an open mind, I began to read.
However, when I came to the part, “writes among other publications for the New York Times and Foreign Affairs, a journal of international relations and U.S. foreign policy. Published by the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR).” AND this, “The Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) is a nonprofit, 4900 member think tank specializing in U.S. foreign policy and international affairs. Unfortunately, I am very much aware of the implications of this Institute and the responsibilities it has, for many of the actions being undertaken today around the Globe for waging war to further it’s own profitable ends.
No way in hell, could any organization claim it’s working towards Global peace, when it reveres such an organization that peruses Global domination.
Thus this organization, WORLD BEYOND WAR, is a Trojan, simply another vehicle for Global domination, hinted at in the mention of World Federation, you may suck in some people, but this one you lost totally.
You paint this organization as some sort of benefit to World peace, when the opposite is the case. The reference to NAFTA clearly verifies this, as the same group is currently pushing the Pacific Trade Agreement that will DEVASTATE many nations internal economies as well as health systems and workers rights. Further ERODING the economic systems of those countries and widening the gap between the rich and poor.
Yet, you claim to be working to World peace ?????
Yes right, I have a bridge for sale if your interested.
