We educate both about and for the abolition of war. We engage in formal education as well as every variety of informal and participatory education interwoven in our activism and media work.

We educate both about and for the abolition of war. We engage in formal education as well as every variety of informal and participatory education interwoven in our activism and media work.

World BEYOND War provides chapters and affiliates with resources, trainings, and organizing support to amplify both online and offline events and campaigns for peace and justice.

At World BEYOND War we make use of all variety of media and communications production and engagement, creating video, audio, text, and graphic media, and interacting with media outlets large and small.

In the United States in 2000 the number of young people held inside locked buildings was 108,800 and in 2022 it was 27,600. At least two-thirds of youth prisons and jails have been shut down. #WorldBEYONDWar

Today, organizations across sectors are coming together to reject Canada’s commitment to profiteering from perpetual war in the guise of economic development. We reject the DSRB war bank. Not in Toronto, not in Canada, not on this planet. #WorldBEYONDWar

Today World BEYOND War was proud to bring together civil society organizations across sectors and across the country in denouncing the DSRB war bank and Canada’s plans to host and lead it. #WorldBEYONDWar

At some point it would be useful to have a culture that talked about peace as something other than personal indulgence. #WorldBEYONDWar

In March 2026, a small group of Norwegians traveled to Murmansk and Moscow to meet Russian students, officials, and peace advocates. They went not as diplomats, but as citizens — carrying no mandate except a belief that dialogue matters. #WorldBEYONDWar

Our commitment to principled action as writers and book workers does not end here. #WorldBEYONDWar
I understand that wars and militarism make us less safe rather than protect us, that they kill, injure and traumatize adults, children and infants, severely damage the natural environment, erode civil liberties, and drain our economies, siphoning resources from life-affirming activities. I commit to engage in and support nonviolent efforts to end all war and preparations for war and to create a sustainable and just peace.
