Until 1954 November 11th was set aside to celebrate and strive for peace as a holiday called Armistice Day, remembering the end of WWI. After that, November 11th became Veterans Day and quickly devolved into a day to celebrate militarism, war and American “exceptionalism.” Veterans for Peace is working hard to reverse that and return to Armistice, a day to celebrate the end of war and the commitment to peace. We are joined by VFP Executive Director Garett Reppenhagen and VFP media person Keslie Carrion.
