Last Saturday, June 15, the Jamaica chapter of World BEYOND War was successfully launched with the participation of the chapter members, who have decided to organize themselves to put an end to all wars, militarism, imperialist oppression in all its forms and to build a world of peace, solidarity and social justice.
The event began at 2:00 p.m. local Jamaican time, in the Dr. Morgan conference room, where several members of the chapter gathered to talk about WBW, its mission, vision and objectives, as well as to discuss the current context in Jamaica and the importance of working to build a better society, away from war.
At this meeting, Imhotep Ashanti was also appointed as the chapter coordinator, who together with the entire chapter team will have the important task of building a work plan framed in activism and education to abolish war, and work on a culture of Peace.
Exitoso Lanzamiento Capítulo De WBW En Jamaica

El pasado sábado 15 de Junio, ha sido lanzado exitosamente el capítulo en Jamaica de World BEYOND War, la actividad contó con la participación de los miembros del capítulo, que han decidido organizarse, para poner fin a todas las guerras, al militarismo, a la opresión del imperialismo en todas sus formas y construir un mundo de paz, solidaridad y justicia social.
El evento inició a las 2:00 p.m hora local de Jamaica, en el salón de conferencia Dr. Morgan, donde se reunieron varios miembros del capítulo, para hablar sobre WBW, su misión, visión y objetivos, así como conversar sobre el actual contexto en Jamaica y la importancia de trabajar en la construcción de una mejor sociedad, alejada de la guerra.
En esta reunión, también se designó en la responsabilidad como coordinador del capítulo a Imhotep Ashanti, quien junto a todo el equipo que integra el capítulo tendrán la importante tarea de construir un plan de trabajo enmarcado en el activismo y la educación para abolir la guerra, y trabajar en una cultura de Paz.
