World BEYOND War News: War is not normal

In some parts of the world, most people have never known peace. In other parts of the world, arming and waging war in distant places has been made to seem normal. Here are some tools to de-normalize it:

Multi-Language Messaging

Now we can travel the world and be understood as standing for a World BEYOND War in numerous languages on sweatshirts and t-shirts. (The back says “Let’s leave war behind us!”)

Sign the petition here to urge IRC to rescind the award.

“If someone, or a little voice in your own head, says, ‘War has always been, and will always be, a part of the human condition,’ then read this book. It dispels the myths that justify endless war. It shows how phasing out foreign military bases, dismantling military alliances, and ending invasions and occupations will actually make us safer, while freeing up billions of dollars for useful purposes. It also gives real-life examples of how to liberate ourselves from the shackes of militarism and build a peace economy. Read it and act!” —Medea Benjamin, Codirector, CODEPINK
