  1. So wise and well informed is Kathy Kelly. So effective as an activist. And she knows who are opponents to her peace efforts, the mass media, the weapons interests, the corruption of our Congressional representatives.

  2. I passed on this link/conversation by Kathy to my local group with this note:
I had not seen anything by Kathy Kelly for a while, so was pleased to find this long (60 min)
talk by her about ‘working for peace.’ I’ve only listened to 25 minutes so far but it is a bit like
listening to an angel; she says everything so well.

I went with Kathy and her Voices in the Wilderness to Iraq in 2001 as part of a global effort
to keep the US from invading that country. She was always impressive; I remember when
Colin Powell gave his garbage speech about Iraq WMD she spent an hour or two on the
porch of our hotel room and then had a press release ready for the media. She has been
hard at it all of her life, applying light pressure for a sane and compassionate world. Dana

  3. Kathy Kelly is a marvel. She is that rare being who calmly and articulately states the hard truth without being strident or harsh or bitter. She keeps her ego out of it (or has so little to tamp down), which is refreshing to behold, and so her stories are powerful with empathy and compassion. She holds out hope, which is essential for our movement toward peace and non-violence. And like Gandhi, her life is her message. She lives in alignment with her deepest values and that integrity pervades her being. Mazel tov on your marriage to your childhood sweetheart, Kathy! You deserve all the love you receive as you have given in such abundance.
Thank you for all your perseverance and inspiration. Laura
