On Saturday, April 12, 2025, a mass for Peace THE ARMED MAN by Karl Jenkins was performed by the Christchurch City Choir and the Returned and Service Association Rangiora Brass Band in the Christchurch Town Hall. The presentation included footage from wars including heart-wrenching photos of starving people in the concentration camps and a moving Call to Prayer by a local Muezzin.
The World BEYOND War Canterbury Chapter (New Zealand) tabled at the event and collected signatures for the Declaration of Peace.

This is really splendid! So glad to see the NZ Canterbury chapter of World Beyond War active and impactful! And wonderful–and not surprising to see Deborah in the middle of it!
We were lucky that Bobbi’s husband was sing in the choir and is on the board of the choir. A quiet request to the board and the management of the Town Hall and we were allowed to be present.
David Minifie had also updated the designs of the QR code on the bookmarks and we were able to give these away to people who approached us.
