Spreading the Word in New Zealand

On February 18, members of the World BEYOND War Canterbury Chapter (New Zealand) participated in the the University of Canterbury club day.

There were more than 100 student clubs promoting their activities, which included a diverse range from mountain climbing to cooking to astronomy.

The WBW Canterbury Chapter partnered with the UCDisarm club, which has similar motivations and aims. WBW chapter members Bobbi and Maan distributed leaflets, handed out WBW bookmarks, and had a number of interesting discussions about war and peace with students. They also directed the students to the educational materials and resources available on the WBW website.

  1. Hi Sophia

We are just in the process of formally founding the chapter.

If you agree with the Peace Pledge send us an email via me debwnz@gmail.com and we will let you know what is coming up.

We will be at The Armed Man on Saturday with the agreement of the choir and the Town Hall management so if you happen to be going, come and introduce yourself.
