This Thursday, November 18, Communications Workers of America (CWA), International Coalition for Human Rights in the Philippines (ICHRP), Malaya Movement USA and Kabataan Alliance advocating for human rights in the Philippines unveiled over 3,000 pairs of “tsinelas,” displayed across the National Mall.

On Wednesday, October 20, I joined “Vrede Scheppen,” “Create Peace,” about 25 peace activists from the Netherlands, Germany and Austria at the airbase at Volkel, Netherlands, making a plea for an end to nuclear weapons.

So here we are again at another COP (Conference of the Parties). Well, some of us are in Glasgow, Scotland at the COP itself, and some of us, this writer included, are sitting at a distance, trying to feel hopeful.
