WBW Takes Part in Gatherings in Caracas

The World Social Alternative Meeting was held in the city of Caracas on July 24 and 25. More than 800 international invitees have gathered to discuss proposals and ideas on the construction of a world based on peace, multipolarity, and respect for life.

The meeting included several conferences on peace, economic justice, political justice, the right to self-determination, communication, and resistance.

World BEYOND War has been present at the event, with the interest of strengthening the bonds of friendship and work with different organizations, mainly from Latin America.

This participation takes place within the framework of the multiple activities that are being organized in Caracas prior to the electoral process of July 28th.

On Friday, a meeting was held with the international delegations that are in Venezuela to accompany them in the electoral process.
During the meeting, various political actors and the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, addressed the attendees to explain the impact of the violent actions that occurred in the country during 2017 and 2019.
Likewise , the peace and stability that the country has achieved was highlighted. Also discussed were countries that have a military presence in the world and today intend to support violent plans that lead to an internal war in Venezuela.
Within the framework of the meeting, a presentation was also made on the impact of unilateral coercive measures (“sanctions”), which pointed out that Venezuela for every 100 US dollars it previously received, since 2017 it has received only 1 US dollar as a result of the strangulation of the economy.
The call has been made to respect democracy and the popular will this coming July 28, without accepting interference or meddling in internal affairs by any foreign power.

 

Un encuentro con los acompañantes internacionales en Venezuela.

El día viernes se realizó un encuentro con las delegaciones internacionales que se encuentran en Venezuela para ser acompañantes en el proceso electoral.

Durante el encuentro distintos actores políticos y el presidente de la República Nicolás Maduro se dirigieron a los asistentes, para explicar el impacto de las acciones violentas ocurridas en el país durante el año 2017 y 2019.

De igual forma se destacó la Paz y estabilidad que ha logrado el país, y que ahora países que tienen una presencia militar en el mundo y hoy pretenden apoyar los planes violentos que conduzca a una guerra interna en el país.

En el marco del encuentro también se hizo una presentación sobre el impacto de las medidas coercitivas unilaterales, donde señalaron que Venezuela por cada 100 USD americanos que recibía, desde el año 2017 comenzó a recibir solo 1 USD como resultado del estrangulamiento de la economía.

El llamado que se ha hecho es respetar la democracia y la voluntad popular este próximo 28 de Julio, sin aceptar injerencia, ni intromisión en los asuntos internos por parte de ninguna potencia extranjera.
