On March 30 in La Carolina Park in the city of Quito, Ecuador, several organizations, including the Human Rights Documentation Center Segundo Montes Mozo S.J., the organizations of solidarity with Palestine in Ecuador and the Global Movement World BEYOND War, were conveners of this day.
The activity was attended by numerous representatives of civil society organizations and have raised the flags of peace for Palestine, during the event there were artistic and cultural presentations, also the organizing committee of the event gave a typical tree of Ecuador in resemblance to the olive tree also some fruits similar to the olive as a symbol of the closeness between the two peoples.
During the activity those who took the floor, condemned the violation of the ceasefire where about 400 people have already died, by the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Nethanyahu, on whom there is an arrest warrant by the International Criminal Court.
During the event, they also took the opportunity to denounce the current government of Daniel Noboa, who despite knowing that the Ecuadorian State has signed the agreements of the International Criminal Court, maintains a position of complicit silence in the face of the current genocide occurring today in the Gaza Strip.
Un Olivo Para Palestina En Ecuador.

El pasado 30 de Marzo en el Parque La Carolina de la ciudad de Quito en Ecuador, diversas organizaciones, entre ellas el Centro de Documentación en Derechos Humanos Segundo Montes Mozo S.J, las organizaciones de solidaridad con Palestina en Ecuador y el Movimiento Global Un Mundo Más Allá de la Guerra, fueron convocantes de esta jornada.
La actividad contó con la presencia de numerosos representantes de las organizaciones de la sociedad civil y que han levantado las banderas de la paz para Palestina, durante el evento se realizaron presentaciones artísticas y culturales, además el comité organizador del evento otorgó un arbol típico del ecuador en semejanza al olivo también unos frutos similares a la aceituna cómo símbolo de la cercanía entre ambos pueblos.
Durante la actividad quienes tomaron la palabra, condenaron la violación al cese al fuego donde ya han muerto cerca de 400 personas, por parte del primer ministro Israelí Benjamin Nethanyahu, sobre quienes pesa una orden de arresto por parte de la Corte Penal Internacional.
Durante el evento también se aprovechó para denunciar el actual gobierno de Daniel Noboa, quien pese a conocer que el Estado ecuatoriano ha suscrito los acuerdos de la Corte Penal Internacional, mantiene una posición de silencio cómplice frente al actual genocidio que ocurre hoy en la franja de Gaza.
