Arkansas Coalition mo le Filemu ma le Faʻamasinoga

The Arkansas Coalition for Peace and Justice (ACPJ) is an affiliate of World Beyond War in Arkansas. Contact Donnal Walter at acpj [AT] arpeaceandjustice.org or donnal [AT] donnal.net, or 501 920 8080.

We are an association of individuals and organizations who seek to promote peaceful and just relationships between individuals, communities, organizations, governing bodies and the environment; through education, dialogue and action.

The coalition is committed to a culture of peace, to building a country where domestic policies are sound and just and where the world at large is treated with respect and dignity. We focus on three areas:

  • Peace and Nonviolence: peacemaking, peaceful conflict resolution and finding alternatives to war
  • Social Justice: Social, racial and economic justice, human solidarity and human rights
  • Ecology: Sustainability, stewardship, and protection of our environment

Along with coalition partners, ACPJ supports activities associated with the International Day of Peace on September 21st of each year. This is observed with a week-long series of events (Arkansas Peace Week) highlighting local peacemaking/peacekeeping efforts. The week closes with an exciting “Peace Fest” celebration for the community in downtown Little Rock.
