About Our Chapter

Malawi for a World BEYOND War is a youth-led chapter based in Lilongwe, bringing together passionate peacebuilders, educators, and climate justice activists committed to creating a world free from violence. In a country known for its relative stability but increasingly facing challenges such as political polarization, youth unemployment, land disputes, and the impacts of climate change, our chapter seeks to address the root causes of conflict through peace education, civic engagement, and community empowerment. We work to foster a culture of nonviolence by promoting dialogue, raising awareness on climate-related conflicts and using creative platforms like art, music, and sport to engage the public. Our efforts are closely aligned with the African Union and the UN Sustainable Development Goal agendas, as we aim to build a more just, peaceful and resilient Malawi connected to the global movement for the abolition of war.
