Who We Are
Illinois for a World BEYOND War (IWBW) is a statewide chapter of the global World BEYOND War movement, working nonviolently to end war and establish a just and sustainable peace. All of our members have signed World BEYOND War’s Declaration of Peace and are committed to its vision.
What We Envision
By offering ongoing peace education, countering the dominant pro-war media narrative, and making efforts to influence our elected officials to stop supporting and financing militarism and war, we strive to end war. Through growth and a wide membership base, we can be more effective and offer wider opportunities for actions that align with members’ interests, abilities, and locations. We can also ally with other Illinois groups committed to peace advocacy, activism, and action.
