Alma Bibon Ruiz is a member of World BEYOND War’s Advisory Board, and an Assistant Professor and Coordinator of the Peace Studies Program at Silliman University’s Religion and Peace Studies Department in the Philippines. She holds a PhD in Peacebuilding from Payap University, Thailand. Alma has extensive experience in peace education, interfaith dialogue, and cultural diversity, serving as a speaker, trainer, and facilitator in peacebuilding and trauma healing. She has presented papers at international conferences and contributed scholarly publications on topics such as indigenous peoples, interfaith dialogue, and peace frameworks in Mindanao, Philippines. Notable works include studies on indigenous conflicts and peacebuilding, as well as exploring women’s roles in peacebuilding in Northern Thai society. Alma actively advances peace through education and dialogue, making significant contributions to regional and international peace initiatives.
