Ulla Klötzer is a member of World BEYOND War’s Advisory Board and a retired teacher. She is a long-standing peace, environmental, and democracy activist with 45 years’ campaigning experience. Ulla is currently active in the Finnish movements Women for Peace and Women Against Nuclear Power as well as Global Women for Peace United Against NATO (GWUAN). Actively building up networks around these issues in the Nordic countries, Europe, and elsewhere. She is also engaged in environmental and sustainable development issues.
Ulla has served as vice chairperson of the Peace Union of Finland, chairperson of the Energy Political Association – No to Nuclear Power, vice chairperson of the Green Party, chairperson of Alternative to EU nongovernmental organisation, and as a board member of TEAM (The European Alliance of EU-critical Movements). She has participated in and arranged numerous conferences, seminars and other happenings dealing with peace, sustainable development, anti-nuclear, and EU-critical issues.
