Yemen is at the center of the world’s worst, man made humanitarian disaster. Over 10,000 people have died from the conflict, 1 million people are impacted by the cholera outbreak, and 22 million people are food insecure, with millions on the brink of famine. Funeral halls, homes, hospitals and markets in Yemen are being bombed by the Saudi-led coalition, with U.S. assistance and U.S. weapons. With millions on the brink of famine, and in the middle of a cholera outbreak, the U.S.-supported Saudi-led coalition blockaded Yemeni ports, weaponizing aid that millions depend on.
Join this rally on Friday, January 26th at 11AM, at 780 3rd Avenue (outside of Senator Schumer and Senator Gillibrand’s NYC offices) because #YemenCantWait: the United States must end all support for the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen.
Confirmed Speakers are: Dr. Debbie Almontaser (Muslim Community Network), Sahar Alsahlani (CAIR-NY, Religions for Peace, Fellowship of Reconciliation), Summer Nasser (YemenAid.us) and Kate Alexander (Peace Action NY)
