With all this bountiful, life saving information, we are still without the plan to achieve peace, etc., we need a workable diagram that includes as many world citizens as possible, now. I know,I’m jumping the gun, but, we need to move a lot faster. I’m honored to be with you, all.
Thank you, Martin Sheen, for making that excellent and thought provoking video. I honestly never thought of Nuclear War as the second biggest fear which, of course, I should have! But looking at the idea of not channelling so much money into weapons and waging war and using it to improve people’s lives is brilliant! Is it too much to hope that governments will be sensible, enlightened and brave enough to begin unravelling the tentacles of death and destruction they have become entangled in? I dearly hope and pray that they will.
So Martin, Socialism is a threat? What are YOU afraid of? You need to read understanding socialism by Richard Wolff. This is not 1917 Russian socialism.

Our appeal for ‘peace’ must be to our collective selves. India achieved ‘Swaraj’ (Hindi ‘Self-rule’) from the foreign parasitic 5-eyes (Britain, USA, Canada, Australia & New-Zealand) British empire, through the economic engine of ‘Swadeshi’ (H. = ‘Indigenous’ = ‘self-sufficiency’). Indians were called to provide their own food, shelter, clothing, warmth & health in traditional indigenous ways. Indian well-being, pride & sovereignty increased. At the same time when just 5% of the British finished goods import & raw-material export was affected, then 100s of 5-eye companies went bankrupt. Five-eye vulnerability & weakness was & still is in the 20-25,000 kilometre shipping distances. With a top-down economic planning cycle of 3-5 years, ships would arrive in Indian ports with warehouses randomly full, trains already occupied, last-year’s foreign product still on store shelves. Today’s shipping distances, with distant component manufacture & assembly, are longer. Today 70% of the world & North-Americans still live in Multihomes with an average size being 32 dwelling units or ~100 people. When the peace-movement can manifest caring-&-sharing personal, welcoming & inclusive economy, only then, as you have stated, will revenue starved “governments, simply get out of the way” & humanity will already have found peace.
