The long-espoused international journey toward universal human rights for a safe, secure home, food security and protection of children from violence are flagrantly violated in the current attempt to erase the indigenous from the land of historic Palestine by denial of their self determination and freedoms. The people who rise up to speak on their behalf often have felt and experienced themselves some degree of oppression and can help lever us toward deep institutional paths to a just peace in our time, based on respect for the sacredness of the other.
