Another staggering way to describe Soviet loses is % of population. Theirs was 15%. Ours was less than 0.1% (Germany 10%, Japan 5% approximately). Of course no one remember the Civil War which was 2% and a level of barbarism perhaps that went hand-in-hand with the A-bomb. Soviets sure should have been scared!
