  1. Dear Folks ,
I am currently on the planning committee of “From Hiroshima to Hope ” in Seattle, Wa. Our event is a one day gathering at a Seattle park commemorating the victims of the atomic bombs and all victims of war, violence, and aggression . As our event is only for one day I , personally would like to become more active in the peace movement. I have seen David Swanson speak and have read ” War is a Lie” 3 times now . I really admire what WBW is doing and would like to consider starting a chapter in Seattle . Could you please put me in touch with someone who has started a chapter so I can understand what is involved ?
    Labai ačiū!
    Sincerely, Chris Allegri

      1. Hi to both of you.
We have a fulltime organizer starting January 16 who will be able to work with you. Until then you’re stuck with me. We have a guide to forming a World Beyond War chapter just above on this page.
We’re just starting this, so any suggestions for changes to that guide would be much appreciated.
A World Beyond War chapter can be a newly formed organization or an existing one that maintains its existing name and other affiliations.
        No dues need be paid.
We’re considering the idea of putting together a package of scarves, buttons, flyers, books, DVDs, and sign-up sheets that chapters could purchase at a discount. If we do, would you be interested in that idea?
        Mes laukiame darbo su jumis!
We do not yet have examples of chapters formed but I’ve just replied to emails from 7 that want to start, so there may be a list on this website soon.

      2. Hello Glen ,
So sorry , I just now saw your reply to my query . Still interested in meeting to discuss WYW ?

    1. We’re just beginning to form chapters and have heard from many but the chapters are not yet up and running. Yours can be among the first.

  2. Here in Tiohtiake (greater Montreal archipelago region) Indigene Community is interested in joining with individuals & groups focused on creating economic peace together. As discussed with Mary Dean, Indigene Community is focused upon humanity’s worldwide ‘indigenous’ (Latin ‘self-generating’) heritage of economic welcome & peace. We are not so much ‘protestors’ as ‘manifestors’ becoming the change we want to see in the world through indigenous multihome collectivization & inclusive economic participatory accounting & organization. This work is exemplified by the Haudenosaunee & other indigenous peoples ‘Kaianerekowa’ = ‘Great-good-way-of-kindness’ aka ‘Great-Law-of-Peace’ aka ‘Ubuntu’ = Nguni, southern Africa, ‘Human-kindness’ aka ‘Swadeshi’ = ‘Indigenous’ = ‘Self-sufficiency’ etc worldwide. http://www.indigenecommunity.info
