World Beyond War is sponsoring an extravaganza peace and environmental activists, writers and speakers conference next weekend, September 22-24 in Washington, D.C. These are the two most important issues we are confronted with: war and climate change. I have already signed up to attend and I wanted more information about it for you, the readers of OpEdNews. So, I contacted David Swanson, the organizer, in order to give you some more details about this coming event. Here is an EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW I did for OpEdNews with David Swanson about No War 2017: War and the Environment .

OpEdNews

David, thank you so much for agreeing to this interview. After I read your article ” The Gathering to Abolish War ” and saw the terrific lineup of speakers I immediate sent in my reservation. I felt that even if for some reason I couldn’t make it, that the money would go to a great cause. War and Climate Change are the number one issue we face. How long have you been planning this conference, and why am I just hearing about it now?

David Swanson

As with any event, the day after this one I’ll hear from 100 people demanding to know why they were not informed. Yet, of course, I’ve spent the past months screaming about it at the top of my lungs. So, for those who might be sorry they missed it we can tell them that they should read more OpEdNews! Here is the information for those who want to come:
