The Man Who Saved the World is a powerful documentary film about Stanislav Petrov, a former lieutenant colonel of the Soviet Air Defence Forces and his role in preventing the 1983 Soviet nuclear false alarm incident from leading to nuclear holocaust. You are invited to join ICAN Aotearoa New Zealand’s celebration to mark the entry into force of the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons on 21 January with Disarmament Ambassador Dell Higgie, the NZ Red Cross, Nuclear Free and Independent Pacific campaigners, and more.
